Joseph Mancuso
Pia Marks, BA (Toronto), is working towards her MA on a part-time basis while working full time for Distance Education at the University of Waterloo.  Her research interests are mainly pedagogical, and centre on communication in the teaching and learning process and the design of learning, especially as mediated by technology.  She plans to apply the research skills she gains through her graduate work to her work in the field of teaching and learning.

Allan McDougall, is from Edmonton, Alberta where he did his BA Honours English at the University of Alberta. His research interests are a combination of Bibliotherapy, the 'Writing Cure' and Popular (cyber)culture--with a specific focus on Frank Warren's "PostSecret" project. During his time at the University of Waterloo he will also be studying "Changing Lives Through Literature", a successful prison education program in the United States. While focusing on this program, he would like to study the pedagogical differences between literary prison education in Canada and the United States.

Ricardo Olenewa, BA (Waterloo), is an MA candidate, who is interested in Victorian Studies (John Ruskin, JS Mill, Charles Dickens, GM Hopkins,
JH Newman); specifically in the connections between art, morality, and
political economy. Other literary passions include Shakespeare, and
Canadian thinkers such as Robert Baldwin, William Lyon Mackenzie,
Joseph Howe, and John Ralston Saul. After completing his MA, he plans to continue on to a PhD program in Literature.
